We’re looking for a dependable Field Technician I to support industrial cleaning and environmental service projects at customer sites. This role works hands-on with vacuum, water blasting, and industrial cleaning equipment while helping maintain safe, efficient jobsite operations in demanding industrial environments.

What You’ll Do

  • Arrive at branch locations and jobsites on time, in proper uniform, and prepared to work safely.
  • Operate company vehicles including cars and vans in accordance with company policies.
  • Set up industrial cleaning jobsites using vacuum hoses, water blast hoses, and related equipment.
  • Operate tools and equipment including water blast guns, lances, dry vacuum hoses, wet vacuum hoses, shovels, and picks.
  • Support industrial and environmental cleaning activities at customer facilities and project sites.
  • Follow all MPW health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures during operations.
  • Inspect, clean, and maintain equipment prior to returning it to the branch location.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting tools and materials to and from jobsites.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
  • Demonstrate initiative and adaptability while performing assigned duties in changing work environments.
  • Travel to customer locations as needed to support project and emergency response operations.
  • Perform additional duties and operational support tasks as assigned by supervision.

 

What You’ll Need

  • High school diploma or vocational training preferred; some high school education accepted.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record that meets company requirements.
  • Previous experience performing manual labor in outdoor or industrial environments preferred.
  • 0–1 years of hands-on experience operating tools, equipment, or industrial machinery preferred.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly throughout the shift.
  • Ability to perform heavy manual labor including bending, kneeling, stooping, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
  • Ability to wear respirators and required PPE while working around chemicals, fumes, noise, and industrial hazards.
  • Ability to work extended shifts, overtime, weekends, holidays, and emergency callout schedules as needed.
  • Willingness to travel for days or weeks at a time depending on project and customer requirements.
