This job posting is for a position in the NASCOM service area. This posting is open to all Bargaining Unit employees deemed qualified by the Company to perform the duties of Radar Junior.

Position Requirements:Â
- Demonstrate an understanding of telecommunication and electronics fundamentals
- Ability to understand NASA Tracking Data Communications (LTAS, MDDF, TLE and IRV) formats and distribution methods.
- Basic ethernet knowledge for configuration of IP addresses and cabling
- Basic understanding of various 2 & 4 wire (data/voice) bridges, amplifiers, and modems, both synchronous and asynchronous
- Capable of understanding of Wallops Command System operations and architecture
- Ability to learn and use the various Software applications and System User Interface applications. i.e. MOVE, Net Acquire, RAPSII, EDRS, Stancil Voice Recorder, WADAT
- With limited supervision, operate and perform maintenance on mechanical and electronic systems
- Apply technical knowledge to accomplish fault isolation and maintenance of systems
- Ability to configure data and voice circuits per mission requirements
- Ability to interpret schematics and system drawings
- Knowledge of test equipment operation for such items as Bit Error Rate Test sets, transmission test sets, data analyzers, function generators, multi-meters and oscilloscopes
- Maintain up-to-date logs and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Provide oral and written reports on daily activities
- The ability to work under stress associated with rigid time demands
- Ensure Company and NASA procedures and policies are followed
- Perform manual tasks, which may include lifting 40 lbs. or more. Ability to work at heights on occasion.
- Skilled with PC operations, configurations, and ability to troubleshoot problems
- Foreign and domestic travel may be required. A valid U.S. passport may be required for this position.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance
- Safety, quality awareness, and compliance are required. Shift work may be required at times as mission schedules are dynamic.
Education:Â
- Two years of technical education/associate degree in electronics related field or relevant military technical training
