Overview of the Role:

The Operations Finance Manager leads financial performance for distribution centers and freight operations. Reporting to the VP Operations Finance, this role ensures forecast reliability, working capital control within logistics operations, disciplined cost governance, and EBITDA integrity across distribution and warehouse activities.


Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Business Priority 1: Maintain Growth, Profitability, and Discipline in Support of Distribution and Logistics

  • Own decision-making processes for logistics and fulfillment costs and working capital velocity.
  • Ensure timely and accurate accounting and analysis of all distribution, freight expenses, and supply chain cost center variances.
  • Deliver financial insights to optimize the supply chain’s use of resources and maximize profitability.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate cost impacts to avoid financial surprises.
  • KPIs: Deliver budgeted Contribution Margin.


Business Priority 2: Drive Financial Forecast Accuracy and Reliability for Logistics and Fulfillment

  • Provide timely input as it relates to cost of goods sold (COGS), freight and distribution, producing monthly outlooks and quarterly forecast updates.
  • Support budget processes and ensure alignment with an 18-month S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) process.
  • Deliver precise and accurate Net Working Capital (NWC) forecasting, focusing on logistics and fulfillment costs.
  • KPIs: Maintain high forecast accuracy (100% on key COGS elements for the next quarter) and improved transparency for the 15-month forecast.


Business Priority 3: Support Aggressive Transformation Initiatives

  • Collaborate with the Pro-track and Tariff Projects, related to fulfillment and logistics initiatives validating timing, results, and achieving savings projections.
  • Provide standardized “estimate calculation tools” to enhance the transformation of project outcomes.
  • Partner with distribution and logistics teams to ensure alignment with financial goals.
  • KPIs: Deliver Pro-track and Tariff Project Objectives.


Business Priority 4: Ensure Superior Financial Service Delivery Across Operations Finance

  • Prepare and analyze cost allocations for all imports, third-party, and internal sourcing.
  • Collaborate on SAP system improvements to enhance operational efficiency and inventory accuracy.
  • SAP Super User for Operations Finance
  • Lead, maintain, and validate all standard cost rolls
  • KPIs: Standard costing completed on time, passing all audit requirements for assets, and fulfillment expenses.


Other Functions:

  • Regular attendance and punctuality required
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Successful Candidate Profile:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • 6-10 years of experience in manufacturing, logistics, or distribution of finance.
  • Strong experience in distribution center costing and freight analysis.
  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial close processes.
  • ERP proficiency (SAP preferred) and strong analytical capability.
  • Strong distribution and logistics financial modeling skills.
  • Working capital and inventory control mindset within warehouse operations.
  • Ability to drive forecast reliability in operational environments.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving capability.
  • Effective cross-functional communication with logistics leadership.
