Willow Valley Communities is hiring experienced Part-Time Cooks to join our Culinary Team. If you have line cook experience, enjoy working with a team, and take pride in preparing great food, this could be a great fit for you! What You’ll Do

• Reads menu, procures food from storage areas and utilizes standardized recipes to prepare food items for the meal period.
• Measures and mixes ingredients accurately. Reviews any modifications to recipes to meet quality standards with Cook 2, Sous Chef or Chef.
• Observes and tests food being cooked by properly taste testing and taking food temperatures using proper ServSafe procedures and guidelines.
• Food preparation and cooking skills include but are not limited to: measuring, washing, peeling, cutting, grilling, baking, roasting, broiling, steaming, carving and portioning foods.
• Monitors food quantities and quality during the meal period in a menu, buffet or display cooking setting.
• Maintains a cleaning schedule to assure work areas are kept clean and sanitary.
• Assures kitchens and related areas are set up and cleaned up using established cleaning guidelines and checklists.
• Practices the proper operation of equipment to ensure personal safety and avoid damage to equipment.
• Responsible to assure proper records are maintained for food production and ordering within the food management system.
• Follow Willow Valley’s HACCP plan and all related food safety policies and procedures.

What We’re Looking For

• At least 1 year of line cook experience in a non–fast food restaurant setting

• A team-oriented attitude and strong attention to detail

• A commitment to quality food and service

Schedule Options 

• Part Time - 3:00 PM – 7:30 PM

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday + every other weekend & holiday

• Or Part Time - 3:30 PM - 7:00 PM
  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday + every other weekend & holiday
