Description
The Customer Service Representative – Med Docs Team is responsible for following up with patients and/or their physician to ensure that all documents required for payment for medical supplies orders have been obtained and are in order.Â
Essential Functions:Â
· Once Assessment team has identified specific product needs (typically diabetic, incontinence or urological supplies), Med Docs team member creates the prescription and sends to client’s doctor for approval.Â
· Performs follow up as needed to ensure prescription is received.
· If request is off contract, refers request to the Prior Authorization team.Â
· Once received, verifies that issued prescription comply with all requirements of insurance provider.Â
· If all is in order, set up product to ship.Â
· Notes, comments or other relevant information into system.Â
· Complete all training as required.
· Inform Team Support if there are unusual client issues or matters requiring her attention or intervention.Â
· Make suggestions and assists with projects as able.
·  Submit reports to leaders as requested.
Position Type:Â
This is a full-time position, with the expectation of maintaining a regular work schedule Monday – Friday.  Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
Requirements
 Â
Required Education and Experience:Â
· 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced customer service role requiring the ability to handle multiple tasks at various stages of completion.
· Previous experience demonstrated the ability to follow multi-step procedures and apply attention to detail.Â
· Previous experience requires the ability to effectively use computer system and maintain good records.Â
