Some benefits of working at Schupan: People-first culture Career advancement and growth opportunities Weekly pay Discretionary bonuses available: monthly safety and attendance, monthly gas bonus, end-of-year bonus, PTO and 401k and match eligibility available Day 1 Medical, dental, company paid employee only dental, dental for dependents, company paid core vision for employee and family (available 1st of the month after hire) HSA, FSA, wellness premium discount Company-paid group life and AD&D, voluntary life, short and long-term disability Pet insurance, paid parental leave, tuition reimbursement, and EAP, among others   SUMMARY  The Forklift Operator is responsible for loading, unloading, and moving all materials throughout the facility for processing, and assisting in the handling and processing of materials as needed.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS  •    Loads and/or unloads materials on trailers as needed. •    Weighs, labels, and properly stores all processed materials as required. •    Maintains and services the forklift truck and informs the Supervisor of any significant issues. •    Completes forklift inspections by checking the items on the Daily Forklift Inspection sheet and reports any significant issues to the shift supervisor and documents findings. •    Operates balers, granulators, trash compactor, and other equipment as needed. •    Provides proper weight tickets to the front office for billing purposes. •    Ensure the proper tare weight program is used for material by referencing spec sheets. •    Assists others with their job duties when needed. •    Adhere to all safety policies and procedures. •    Use required PPE protective equipment as required, which includes, but is not limited to, proper ear, eye and hand protection. •    Empties trash containers throughout the facility and performs daily scale inspections as needed. •    Assists with daily inventory. •    Maintains regular and predictable attendance. •    Must be able to interact in person with peers and management for the duration of the shift. •    Must be able to handle high stress situations. •    Must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. •    Exhibits behaviors that reflect the company's core values:  Integrity, Empowerment, Sustainability and Compassion. •    Perform other related duties as assigned.   REASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONS STATEMENT  To accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, each essential function satisfactorily. Must be able to work in a loud, wet, dusty, and physically demanding work environment, including extreme hot and cold temperature variations. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision. Ability to train others while performing the essential duties of this job. Ability to train others while performing the Essential Duties of this job PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Stands, walks, or remains in a seated position for most of the shift; frequently on uneven floors/ground or raised platforms. Constant repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers, to operate warehouse equipment. Specific vision requirements include color, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Routinely perform repetitive movements such as bending, twisting, reaching, and lifting. May be required to lift, carry, and position material weighing up to 50 lbs. with assistance.
