Description

Position Overview

Perform quality testing on products manufactured by organization and incoming products as required to ensure quality standards for the products are met.


Primary Functions and Responsibilities

  • Self-organized control of raw materials and finished polyurethane resins
  • Conduct analysis of the samples
  • Compile data and interpret the results using standard procedures to determine compliance with specifications.
  • Document and record data
  • evaluate correctness of results
  • Product certificates of conformance
  • Organization and storage of test samples
  • Block raw materials if properties don't meet specifications
  • Block finished goods if properties don't meet specifications and/or quality standards
  • Perform periodic preventive maintenance and calibration of lab equipment
  • Ensure that supplies and equipment are maintained at an adequate level.
  • Works following all safety policies and procedures in the lab
  • Report inconsistencies, malfunctions and/or variations
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to plan, organize and take initiative
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of basic statistics
  • Neat and organized
  • Chemical knowledge helpful


Minimum Qualifications

  • Microsoft office suite
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience working in a lab setting preferred
