Position Overview
Perform quality testing on products manufactured by organization and incoming products as required to ensure quality standards for the products are met.
Primary Functions and Responsibilities
- Self-organized control of raw materials and finished polyurethane resins
- Conduct analysis of the samples
- Compile data and interpret the results using standard procedures to determine compliance with specifications.
- Document and record data
- evaluate correctness of results
- Product certificates of conformance
- Organization and storage of test samples
- Block raw materials if properties don't meet specifications
- Block finished goods if properties don't meet specifications and/or quality standards
- Perform periodic preventive maintenance and calibration of lab equipment
- Ensure that supplies and equipment are maintained at an adequate level.
- Works following all safety policies and procedures in the lab
- Report inconsistencies, malfunctions and/or variations
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to plan, organize and take initiative
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of basic statistics
- Neat and organized
- Chemical knowledge helpful
Minimum Qualifications
- Microsoft office suite
- Attention to detail
- Experience working in a lab setting preferred
