Responsibilities
The Quality Control Technician will:
Â
- Comply with all safety regulations, policies and record keeping
- Perform routine testing of aggregate samples (quartering samples, running gradations, washes, moistures and picking deleterious)
- Determine appropriate handling procedures and sampling techniques for specific applications
- Perform moderately complex testing procedures – determining specific gravity, unit weight, organic plate, etc.
- Maintain work area for cleanliness and to allow safe movement and access
- Enter data and generate reporting from the aggregate quality reporting system
- Meet internal and external customer service expectations
Skills
The ideal candidate will have:
- Ability to Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to Climb ladders, scaffolding and stockpiles
- Basic knowledge of office machinery and software
- Knowledge of various laboratory equipment
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Willingness to perform other duties as assigned.
Technical Specifications

- MDOT Aggregate Technician certification preferred
- MDOT Bituminous Technician certification preferred
- MCA Level I and/or Level II preferred
