About Terrestrial Bio, Inc.
Terrestrial is transforming the delivery of next-generation therapies, starting with GLP-1.
Terrestrial's proprietary Tacterraâ„¢ microarray patch (MAP) and applicator platform consists of a patch resembling an adhesive bandage, which is applied with a preloaded applicator and removed after a few minutes. Once applied, each patch delivers bioactive tips into the skin, which dissolve quickly into the body, rapidly releasing their therapeutic payload. Designed for self-administration, the temperature-stable Tacterraâ„¢ platform enables precise, controlled delivery of a wide range of therapeutics without medical sharps or refrigeration.
Terrestrial has generated strong clinical and in-vivo proof of concept across multiple molecules. For more information,

WHY THIS ROLE
You'll own the handoff that makes or breaks a platform like ours: taking formulations from R&D and turning them into repeatable, compliant manufacturing processes. Reporting to the Director of Process Development, you'll act as the connective tissue between Research, Manufacturing, Quality, and Automation — with real influence over how our microarray patch formulations get built, optimized, and scaled. You'll also have hands-on oversight of formulation campaigns and the technicians running them, giving you both technical depth and early leadership experience.
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
Lead cGMP formulation operations for Microarray Patch manufacturing, ensuring adherence to batch records, SOPs, and regulatory requirements
Provide hands-on guidance to junior staff and technicians during manufacturing campaigns; train, mentor, and evaluate personnel
Oversee day-to-day manufacturing floor activities — safety, compliance, scheduling, and troubleshooting — alongside Manufacturing and Facilities
Drive process development and optimization studies for microarray patch formulations, including excipient optimization
Act as the liaison between Research and Manufacturing to scale formulation processes from R&D to production
Identify and implement new technologies and assays to support continuous improvement
Lead root cause analyses and process development investigations
Author, edit, and review batch records, SOPs, and work instructions
Communicate progress, issues, and results to key stakeholders
WHAT YOU BRING
Engineer I - BS in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline; 0–2 years of relevant experience (internship, co-op, or academic research experience welcomed)
Engineer II - BS or MS in Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline, with 3+ years of relevant experience (title adjusted commensurate with qualifications)
Strong hands-on formulation process development experience; able to design and execute studies and analyze results independently
Prior supervisory experience in a GxP environment preferred
Strong grasp of Good Documentation Practices, including authoring and reviewing batch records, SOPs, and work instructions
Excellent verbal and written communication, time management, and project management skills
Ability to learn quickly, solve challenging technical problems creatively, and work well across diverse, multidisciplinary teams
Strong attention to detail and root-cause problem-solving skills.
The salary range for the Engineer I role is $62,000 to $82,000
