Job Description:
We are seeking an engineering technician to support new product development of thermal management components used in high technology markets such as defense, commercial aerospace, laser, medical equipment such as X-ray and MRI, data centers, traction, and semiconductor. This individual must be a highly motivated self-starter with exceptional communication skills and a strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.
Roles and Responsibilities
Test prototype and production components and assemblies to determine performance and to ensure compliance to customer specifications. Measurements include cooling capacity, fluid flow, pressure drop, shock and vibration, noise level, controls, etc.
Design and build specialized test equipment and fixtures to support testing of prototype and production components and assemblies.
Work from verbal and written instructions, technical manuals, engineering specifications, schematics and drawings.
Use a variety of test equipment and troubleshoot product defects.
Support engineering with writing test procedures, interpreting test data, and writing test reports.
Provide ownership of the engineering lab equipment, including 6S program, equipment maintenance and calibration.
Calibrate pressure gauges, thermocouples, flow meters and other equipment necessary for specialized test setups.
Interface with engineering, drafting, production personnel and outside vendors.
Minimum Requirements
Ideal candidate will have an AS/BS in engineering and 5 years of hands-on experience in assembly or systems testing.  Advanced electrical knowledge and proficiency in the use of standard hand tools and measuring equipment is required. Capability to assemble hydraulic components including soldering and brazing is required. Ability to read engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and P&I diagrams is required.  Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word are preferred. We are looking for a motivated, hands-on, team player with the desire to work in a fast-paced environment.

This role is based at our Woburn MA facility the position will report to the Senior Engineering Manager – Component Design.
Compensation $45-$48 per hour plus bonus potential
