Be at the assigned station at the assigned time. Enforce all pool rules and any others as assigned by the Pool Manager. Responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly locker room, shower room, washroom and changing area. Clean them frequently. Remain at the assigned station while on duty. Be courteous at all times. Maintain an alert status at all times when on duty and avoid any unnecessary talking with patrons or other staff members. Attend all meetings and be held accountable for information presented. Be responsible for other duties deemed appropriate by the Pool Manager, Aquatics Coordinator, or Director of Recreation Services. Assist with monitoring the water spray ground area, waterslides, adult spa, and sand areas. Know emergency procedures including phone numbers to be used at the pool in case of emergency or accident. Assist and educate patrons on proper use of lockers. Check all lockers for defects after each period. Lockers should be kept clean at all times. Use down time for this purpose. Place all lost articles in lost and found. Tag the item, if possible, with the area found or the locker number. Keep floors, mirrors, bowls, etc. clean at all times. Hose the floor following every heavy use of the locker room. Check to see that soap dispensers are full at all times. Do not permit glass objects of any kind (except eye glasses) in the pool area. Pick up paper and empty garbage as needed. Prohibit smoking in the entire aquatics facility. Encourage patrons to rinse suits before entering pool. Allow no one to enter aquatics facility with street shoes. Allow no one to carry special bathing apparatus or devices in the pool area. Oversee conduct in sand play area and spa. Assure that anyone using the spa is at least 18 years of age. Ensure that all guests rinse free of sand before leaving sand area. Enforce spa and sand play area rules. Rake sand in play area. Other duties as assigned. QualificationsRequirements / Qualifications: Must be at least 16 years old The ideal candidate will be responsible and have a great attitude Ability to listen and follow directions Ability to work in a Team atmosphere First Aid/CPR certification or ability to receive upon hire. Work Environment and Physical Demands: Work is subject to inside/outside environmental conditions. Requires occasional lifting of heavy objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
