Position Summary
The Orientation Manager is responsible for facilitating new hire orientation, tracking training progress, and providing hands-on, shoulder-to-shoulder coaching within restaurant operations. This role partners with restaurant leadership to ensure employees are properly trained, developed, and equipped to meet company standards while creating a positive onboarding and learning experience.
Essential Responsibilities
- Conduct new hire orientation sessions.
- Track training completion, class attendance, and employee development progress.
- Provide on-floor restaurant training and coaching as needed.
- Assist employees with onboarding questions and direct concerns to appropriate leadership.
- Maintain accurate onboarding and training records.
- Coordinate with restaurant leadership regarding new hire and training needs.
- Promote a positive onboarding experience and support employee retention efforts.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Restaurant, training, or onboarding experience preferred.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel between restaurant locations as needed.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment and provide hands-on, shoulder-to-shoulder training and coaching.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and actively participate in restaurant operations for extended periods.
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
