Position Summary:

 

The Coater Technician is responsible for controlling the application of paint onto substrates in accordance with established specifications. This role partners closely with Planning, using provided production information to ensure proper paint application.

 

The Coater Technician takes proactive, preventative measures to maintain quality standards and ensure all finished products meet company specifications.

 

Requirements:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • High School or GED
  • Must have fluency in English, read, write, and speak.
  • Must be able to read, write and interpret documents such as training manuals, write routine reports and facilitate training sessions.
  • Able to perform mathematics, including dividing units of measure and computing rate, ratio, percentage, and interpreting graphs.

 

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • To perform this job successfully, a payoff operator is regularly required to communicate with other employees.
  • The employee must be able to regularly lift and move up to 50lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities include close/distance, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
  • A Coater will be exposed to moving mechanical parts and moderate noise levels.
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles (paint smell).
  • Required PPE must be always worn.
