Job Highlights

The Quality Assurance Specialist at the Fords QC Lab is responsible in safeguarding the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of all quality assurance activities within a fast paced manufacturing environment. The main responsibilities of this position include:

  • Creates MOCs for new products, new laboratory instruments, new personnel, and updates to controlled documents
  • Determine the quality status of materials stored in tanks and maintain all associated records.
  • Determine the quality status of all finished products packaged in drums, totes, pails, cans, and other container types.
  • Communicate material status to the Shipping and Packaging Department via email, LIMS, or phone in a timely manner.
  • Maintains ISO documentation on the network drive and in SharePoint.
  • Provide support for external audits.
  • Assist the Head of Quality Assurance with LIMS and SAP QM master data setup.
  • Prepare internal and external waivers for batches that do not meet internal or customer specifications.
  • Handle and process sample orders.

Experience / Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline, along with a minimum of 1 year of experience in quality management systems.
  • Ability to analyze test results and identify discrepancies or trends.
  • Strong attention to detail for maintaining QA lab records and ISO documentation.
  • Strong general computer skills (Microsoft Office, file management, and digital recordkeeping).
  • Clear verbal communication for interacting with production, warehousing, and third-party labs.
