Overview:

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center is hiring a Supervisor, Catheterization and Vascular Lab Registered Nurse (RN) for a Full Time, Day shift in Woodbridge, VA!

The Supervisor, Catheterization and Vascular Lab- Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for the daily operations of one or more clinical areas. Supervises procedural area RN's and staff including coordinating quality and customer service activities; assisting in the development and monitoring of the departmental budget; coordinating the purchasing and payroll processes; serving as a technical/clinical resource to team members; and performing work assignments as needed to provide appropriate coverage and to mentor/assist staff. Serve as chief retention officer for areas of responsibility.

Department Overview:

The Cath Lab at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center is a 50-person team of monitor techs, cardiovascular invasive techs, registered nurses and patient care staff for additional support. The team sees a mix of inpatient and outpatient and an average of 10 procedures per day. Heart and Vascular has 3 labs for EP, Cardiac and IR at SNVMC.

Education

  • BSN Required

  • MSN Preferred

Certification/Licensure

  • Registered Nurse License Required

  • Specialty Nursing Certification Preferred

  • RCIS preferred

  • ACLS required

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in cath/vascular/procedural areas Ā 

  • Leadership or supervisory experience for at least 2 years preferred

  • Background in IR/Cath and Angio preferred

  • Procedural experience preferred
