Woodburn - MACLAREN YOUTH CORRECTIONAL FACILITY
The Oregon Youth Authority (OYA) is filling multiple full-time and temporary Administrative Specialist 1 positions at MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility. This role supports campus operations, staffing, dispatch, and intake functions. You will coordinate staff schedules, maintain secure records, support youth intake processes, and ensure smooth daily communication across the facility.
Key duties include monitoring LEDS/NCIC databases for information related to OYA youth on community supervision; entering, confirming, and clearing warrants; sending custody detainers to detention centers, county jails, and correctional facilities housing OYA youth; and developing scheduling templates while coordinating daily schedules for MacLaren direct care staff and support services.
We are seeking someone highly organized, a strong communicator, and able to manage confidential information. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, prioritizes tasks effectively, and works well in a team. This position supports critical 24/7 operations impacting youth, staff, and public safety.

Minimum Qualifications:
Two years of secretarial or basic administrative support experience that includes records processing, generating documents, and gathering and sorting data; OR
An associate degree in general office occupations and one year of experience with records processing, generating documents, and gathering and sorting data; OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Qualification:
Must be able to be Inquiry/Entry Law Enforcement Data System (LEDS) certified within 90 days of hire date or currently hold an Inquiry/Entry LEDS certification upon hire.

Temporary: This job posting includes temporary positions which do not include the typical benefits available for permanent employees.
