Welder

Title: Welder
Location: Woodburn, OR

Wilson Construction has an immediate opening for a Welder. This position will work with a team of welders under the direction of the Welder Foreman on specialized welding projects and equipment repairs.  We pride ourselves on producing high quality products for our internal customers in a safe work environment.  

Requirements:
•    High School Diploma; 
•    1 year minimum welding experience; 
•    Experience with basic welding tools (drill press, band saw, iron worker, cutting torch);
•    Mechanical aptitude; 
•    Engineering/Structural aptitude;
•    Creativity and ability to think outside of the box; 
•    Must be able to follow basic instructions and plans through to completion of projects;
•    Ability to perform tasks in a safe manner and maintain safe work environment; and
•    Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment. 

Physical Requirements:  
•    Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and carry the same for short distances and up and down stairs and steep inclines.
•    Ability to sit in awkward positions for long periods, standing on a variety of surfaces and at differing angles, bending over, crouching and climbing up and over various equipment.
