A day in the life:
- Participate in food prep and/or production for the department and others as directed.
- Following established procedures, prep, pack and label food items according to assigned production schedule.
- Able to work with all products required to satisfy the assigned production list including: vegetables, fruits, meats, dairy, nuts and grains.
- Ensure that food items are dated, stocked, rotated and all out of date items are removed.
- Ensure prep and food storage areas are maintained in sanitary, orderly condition meeting Health Department standards.
- Adhere to safe food handling procedures at the prep station, walk-in and waste management areas.
- Ensure proper storage and labeling.
- Participate in periodic inventory counts.
- Individuals are responsible for opening and closing procedures as assigned.
