A Typical Shift

You’ll start your day on the shop floor reviewing the day’s priorities and confirming prints and inspection expectations. After verifying tooling and fixtures, you’ll settle into a steady production rhythm—checking dimensions at planned intervals, documenting results, and making small, controlled adjustments to keep parts within tolerance. Throughout the shift, you’ll coordinate quick check-ins with Quality for approvals and communicate status updates to keep work moving. As jobs change over, you’ll transition smoothly between tasks, keeping the area organized and equipment ready for the next run. Occasional overtime supports customer deadlines when demand increases.
