Job Description Summary

The Program

Par Health offers an 11-week internship program designed to provide an immersive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. As a Par Health Intern, you’ll have the chance to contribute to meaningful projects that align with your field of study. This program allows you to apply classroom knowledge in a real-world corporate setting while building valuable connections through networking opportunities across the organization.

Summary of Position

The Par Health Internship for Global Distribution & Logistics will work with our US Logistics and Trade compliance team to manage both US Domestic Par Health & International product shipments, Trade compliance and project support. Core responsibilities will include operations planning, resolving suppler-customer shipping issues (e.g. CAPA management), project support and trade compliance activities.

The role will ensure that product collection and deliveries occur on time in full with the correct shipping documentation across our supply network particularly for key US & International sites both across Internal & 3RD party CMO areas. The role plays an important part in the broader Par Health operations team by working with key Par Health team (Supply chain, Quality, Tech transfers, Finance) in ensuring shipping and delivery meet in-transit deadlines

The role will include working on & supporting specific global logistics projects. For example, the integration of new volumes and sites within India shipments to and from US and other countries as applicable .The role will also attend Logistics activity on Tech transfers, New Product Introductions, and related Trade compliance projects.

The role will also gain insight into Continuous Improvement practices like Lean Six Sigma at Par Health and practice those skills in relation to certain logistics / operations projects

Required Qualifications

  • Sophomores/Juniors currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Operations, or related field. 

Knowledge:

  • Basic knowledge of supply chain / logistics / operations management 
  • Project management awareness
  • Computer skills: MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint

Skills & Abilities:

  • Good organization and planning skills
  • Ability to working with different stakeholders
  • Good communication and collaboration skills
  • Good analytical, numerical and problem solving abilities

Relationship with Others/Scope of Position
