Cook III – Restaurant
Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Cook III – Restaurant. In this role, you’ll support the Restaurant Chef and help prepare food for restaurant, room service, and food outlet meals. You’ll assist with made-to-order preparation, visually inspect food before it is served, and help ensure every dish meets the quality standards set by our department and resort leadership. You’ll also play an important part in maintaining clean, safe, and organized kitchen and storage areas while helping minimize waste and support efficient production.

Pay Rate: $15-$16/hour

Key Responsibilities Â
- Comfortable with basic culinary math, including proportions, percentages, measurements, and volume.
- Strong interpersonal, guest service, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Able to stay focused and detail-oriented in a fast-paced kitchen environment while meeting deadlines.
- A team player who works well with others, demonstrates flexibility, and brings patience and a positive attitude to each shift.
- Knowledge of current food trends, with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost control, and presentation.

What We’re Looking For Â
- 2 -3 + years of experience in a high-volume restaurant/food/concessions outlet production kitchen is preferred, or experience in a similar capacity.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment, work under pressure, and meet deadlines with particular attention to detail.
- Must be able to withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, kneeling, lifting, and carrying items weighing up to 50 lbs. without restriction.
- Ability to work on nights, weekends, and holidays.
