Housing Manager  

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Housing Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the Kalahari Resorts’ housing facilities in their entirety, to keep residents safe and the property in the best possible condition. You’ll do this through inspecting rooms when vacant for any repairs, processing maintenance requests, updating tenants on work orders, managing rent collection, maintaining order while administering policy, handling resident complaints and evictions, and making sure nightly lock out procedures are being followed.

You’ll often be the first and most important face to a group of international students. You’ll hold effective orientations, and proper safety training for international staff upon arrival.

 

As part of our leadership team, you’ll embody our Promise to Lead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You’ll create a positive housing experience for associates, contributing to a stronger guest experience through improved employee engagement, service consistency, and operational stability.

 

Salary Range: $45k - $55k

 

Key Responsibilities  

 

  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other basic office procedures.
  • Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
  • Make independent decisions while maintaining strong ethical standards consistent with company policy, rules and the ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Must maintain composure and objectivity while under pressure.
  • Must be able to maintain a high-level of confidentiality for the best interests of the residents.
  • Facilitate all contracts and contractors that may be coming in and out of the housing facility for both safety and business reasons.
  • Respond to and manage any emergency and/or crisis situations that may occur at any time.
  • Investigate and respond to resident complaints.
  • Ability to be sympathetic and empathetic to a diverse culture of residents.

 

What We’re Looking For  

 

  • At least 2 years of administrative, clerical, or executive assistant experience in a corporate, hotel, resort or business setting is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • A pleasant, good-natured, and cooperative attitude.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Previous housing experience is preferred.
  • Bi-lingual preferred.
