Laundry Lead Supervisor

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Laundry Lead Supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the Laundry Manager with the daily laundry operation, ensuring that all areas have an adequate supply of clean, pressed linen as needed in the resort. This position is a "working" position and must fulfill dual responsibilities of both laundry attendant and supervisor.

 

As part of our leadership team, you’ll embody our Promise to Lead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You’ll help lead the daily operations of the laundry team to ensure linens, towels, and uniforms consistently meet Kalahari's high standards of quality and cleanliness. By coaching associates, maintaining efficient workflows, and supporting exceptional service behind the scenes, you'll play a vital role in creating a seamless experience for both guests and fellow associates.

 

*** Position starting as early as September. ***

 

Pay Rate - $20 - $24/Hr.

 

Key Responsibilities  

 

  • Must be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to guests, managers and fellow associates.
  • Manage daily linen requisitions.
  • Verify all laundry is washed and folded.
  • Coordinate pre-treating of soiled linen as necessary.
  • Manage monthly linen inventory, including records of all damaged and stained linen.
  • Ensure that stained linens are being properly pre-treated.
  • Verify that dryers, washers and other equipment are kept clean and maintained.
  • Maintain laundry shelves in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Keep laundry room floors clean and safe.
  • Compile and complete reports and linen loss, turnover, par levels, and purchase orders.
  • Train staff on handling and safe operation of chemicals.

What We’re Looking For  

 

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience is required.
  • Must have knowledge of commercial laundry operations and the day-to-day functions of all aspects of a resort.
  • At least 2 years of progressive experience in a large (500+ room) Resort is required.
  • At least 1 year of previous supervisory responsibility required.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is helpful.

 

Physical Requirements

 

  • Heavy work - Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Ability to stand during entire shift up to 8 hours.
  • Flexible and long hours sometimes required, including weekends and holidays.
