Executive Pastry Chef  Â
Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking an Executive Pastry Chef. In this role, you will manage a large team, ensuring efficient production schedules, maintaining inventory and quality controls, and collaborating closely with culinary and hospitality teams to deliver exceptional guest experience. With a focus on both creativity and operational excellence, this position demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding setting. Â

Key Responsibilities Â
- Lead pastry operations for all outlets, banquets, and events. Â
- Manage, train, and support the growth of a talented pastry team of about 20 members. Â
- Control food and labor costs; oversee ordering and inventory. Â
- Ensure quality, consistency, and presentation standards. Â
- Maintain kitchen safety, sanitation, and compliance. Â
- Collaborate with culinary leadership to enhance the guest experience. Â

What We’re Looking For Â
- 4 to 5+ years of experience in a high-volume/fine dining/Banquet/Pastry production kitchen, ideally within a hotel or resort setting.   Â
- Must have a minimum of 3+ years’ previous supervisory experience with organizing and scheduling employees to maximize efficiency. Â
- Extensive experience across multiple disciplines of pastry arts, including production, cake design, artisan breads, sugar artistry, and more. Â
- Advanced knowledge and hands-on skills in chocolate work and decorative artistry is desired.Â
- Basic P&L knowledge. Â
- A degree in Pastry Arts is preferred. Â
- Spanish-speaking ability is a plus, but not a requirement.  Â
