We made history and now we work to transform the future – for our customers, our communities and our families. You'll see your work on the road every day, helping people move freely and pursue their dreams. At Ford, you can build more than vehicles. Come build what matters.

In this position...

As a Supervisor, you will oversee daily operations within a High Cube Center (HCC), managing inbound, outbound, and claims processing. You will lead a diverse team in a UAW environment to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) while ensuring a safe, efficient, and continuous improvement-focused operation.

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Supervisor to manage operations at our High Cube Center/HCC. Reporting to the Superintendent and Plant Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end flow of materials and the direct supervision of a team.

This role requires a leader who can navigate a fast-paced environment, manage labor relations with the UAW, and drive operational excellence through data-driven decision-making. You will play a critical role in maintaining building safety, organizational cleanliness, and overall customer satisfaction to ensure dealer shipping deadlines are consistently met or exceeded.

Responsibilities:

  • Operational Oversight: Supervise all inbound, outbound, and claims processing operations to ensure seamless material flow.
  • Performance Management: Deliver on key objectives including Building Safety, Inventory Accuracy, Error/Denial Rates, LPMH, and On-Time Delivery.
  • Workforce Management: Schedule the workforce (overtime and vacation), manage absenteeism, and ensure accurate application of Ford-UAW National and Local Contracts.
  • Leadership & Mentoring: Provide direct supervision, training, and mentoring to supervisors and hourly crews; facilitate crew meetings and resolve grievances.
  • Continuous Improvement: Champion initiatives toward best-in-class performance and ensure adherence to ISO 14001 Environmental Responsibilities.
  • Administration: Prepare and maintain work-related records, monitor grid time, and ensure overall building organization and cleanliness.
  • Operational Flexibility: Support all shifts as required and cover crews during supervisor absences.

You'll have...

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience of supervisory, manufacturing, military, or other relevant experience
  • Experience: 1–3 years of operational experience (HVC/HCC experience highly preferred).
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of or the ability to learn current systems (SAP/EWM).
  • Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to demand accountability.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret data, evaluate actions, and reach logical conclusions independently.
  • Mindset: A self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset and a proven record of dependability.
  • Schedule Requirements: Must be able to work outside traditional hours (current operations run 6:00 AM – 1:30 AM), including weekends and overtime as business dictates.
  • Resilience: Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment to meet strict dealer shipping deadlines.

Even better, you may have...

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Labor Relations: Previous experience in a UAW or unionized supervisory environment is preferred.
