Inbound Supervisor

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Daily route planning for all inbound shipments to maximize route efficiency and customer satisfaction/experience.
- Schedules and assigns tasks for dock planning and setup.
- Ensures timely delivery of freight.
- Observes loading and/or unloading of trucks for proper handling and distribution of freight for transport.
- Supervise operations, procedures, and freight movement.
- Enforces all safety measures in regard to balance of freight for safe operation of trucks.
- Enforces compliance with administrative policies, procedures, safety rules and government regulations.
- Trains new dock employees and counsels dock personnel with feedback, coaching and discipline as needed for improved job performance.
- Creates and maintains a teamwork environment with employees.
- Coordinates drivers and assigns trucks and delivery routes for delivery of freight.
- Maintains equipment and facility for effective, clean and safe operations.
- Manage cost goals at all levels of the terminal.
- Manage satellite terminal Bremerton to include, but not limited, to the following items
- Morning communication on manpower planning and coverage
- Daily contact and communication with driver lead and drivers
- Dispatch coordination for pickups
- Monitoring and managing metrics

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in LTL freight, logistics or transportation.
- Proven leadership, team building and interpersonal relationship skills.
- Must have good computer skills (AS/400 & MS Office a plus).
- Possess excellent verbal, written communication and listening skills.
- Knowledge of hazardous materials preferred.
- Must have strong work ethic and good problem-solving skills.
- Must be available to work up to 50 hours/week average.
- Must be able to work independently, or in a team setting.
- Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
