About the Role:

The Sanitation Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring that all food manufacturing processes meet stringent cleanliness and safety standards to protect consumer health and comply with regulatory requirements. This position is responsible for overseeing sanitation teams, developing and implementing effective cleaning protocols, and maintaining a hygienic production environment. The supervisor will coordinate with quality assurance and production departments to ensure that sanitation schedules align with manufacturing operations without compromising efficiency. Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sanitation within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards (e.g., FDA, USDA, GMP).
  • Experience conducting safety audits and implementing safety procedures.
  • Ability to lead and supervise a team effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • Certification in food safety or sanitation (e.g., ServSafe, HACCP).
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Familiarity with automated cleaning systems and sanitation technologies.
  • Previous experience working in a large-scale food production facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage daily sanitation activities within the food manufacturing facility to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company standards.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor sanitation procedures and schedules to maintain a clean and safe production environment.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Train and mentor sanitation staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and regulatory compliance requirements.
