Experienced Optician

Small private Optometry practice with commitment to quality eye care seeking optician with experience. Full-time,Salary depends on experience. ABO certified is a plus, but is not necessary. We offer competitive benefits.  Business hours are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 9-5:30, Thursday 9-6:30, and Friday 8:50 – 4:30pm. Closed Saturday and Sunday

Tasks:

1. Frame and Lens selection that are customized to the patient with focus on educating the patient

2. Dispensing, adjusting and repairing frames to ensure a perfect fit and patient satisfaction

3.Accurately billing insurances (VSP and Eyemed) 

4. Pre-testing of Patients (visual fields, auto-refractor, stereo, lensometry). 

5. CL training and education on proper use

6. Answering phones and making appointments in EHR

7. Maintain accurate patient records and sales transactions

Skills/Qualifications:

1. Superior customer skills that will help us build long lasting patient relationships

2. Thrive in a team environment

3. Must be able to multi-task

4.Detail oriented with Good organizational skills

5. Can take directions and work independently

6. ABO certification is a plus

7. EHR and optical experience required
