Overview

Symbria is searching for our next Associate Medical Billing Associate to fill one of our roles in our Corporate Headquarters in Woodridge, IL. This is a hybrid-remote role which requires to come into the office if needed.  Therefore, applicants must live within commuting distance of Woodridge, IL. 

 

The Rehab Associate Medical Biller is responsible for performing all functions required to maintain, update, and bill customers’ accounts timely and accurately. This position assists with the tracking and resolution of outstanding payment and billing issues.

Responsibilities

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Timely and accurate data entry of therapy activity into Excel on a monthly basis.• Calculate certain billing information before input into invoices.• Communicate with therapists and/or program managers relating to billing issues before final bills are complete.• Assist with distribution of monthly invoices to multiple communities.• Assist with distribution of monthly billing reports to accounting department.

• Assist with tracking and resolving both outstanding payment and billing issues with third party and private pay customers across all business lines, including Rehab, Pharmacy and Physician billing. • Any and all duties as assigned.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT• Required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures and extensive reading.• Consistently operates a computer and other office equipment such as a calculator, copy machine and printer. • Frequently communicates with managers, staff and clients. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. • Must be able to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.• Sedentary, light work with ability to exert and/or lift to 25 pounds.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREDTo perform this job successfully, the ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily is necessary and the qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • At least 1-2 years Medical billing experience through work or school preferred 
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to maintain organization, multi-task and pay attention to detail while working on several tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient use of computers and Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook 

 

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED 

  • Strong data entry skills
