POSITION SUMMARY

The Brand Specialist is the front-line champion for exceptional interactions people have with Gerber—whether they're a customer, partner, or employee. This role acts as a liaison across Gerber teams, ensuring our brand values come through consistently in what we say and do, from customer support to internal communications and beyond. The Brand Specialist also helps steward Gerber's brand voice, content strategy, and storytelling, partnering cross-functionally to keep messaging clear, consistent, and aligned across every channel.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Brand Governance, Messaging & Product Content

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the omnichannel content map, ensuring consistent messaging, storytelling, and timing across B2B, B2C, digital, social, and internal channels.
  • Steward brand voice and messaging guidelines, ensuring clear direction on tone, terminology, and brand expression to ensure consistency across all customer touchpoints.
  • Coordinate product naming processes, including name development (in partnership with the creative team), application workflows, repository upkeep, and ensuring naming accuracy and consistency across all materials and channels.
  • Maintain a centralized product information repository, organizing product features and differentiators by audience/persona while ensuring information is accurate, up to date, and readily available to internal teams and partners.
  • Support the management of brand protection policies, helping promote channel alignment, reduce conflict, and protect brand equity.

Social Media, Creator Partnerships & Brand Reputation

  • Manage the day-to-day execution of Gerber's social media channels, including content scheduling, publishing, and audience engagement, ensuring a consistent and positive brand experience across platforms.
  • Elevate the customer experience by crafting on-brand response content for social media messages, comments, technical support touchpoints, customer reviews, and support tickets—balancing empathy, clarity, and brand voice.
  • Partner with Customer Service and cross-functional teams to ensure customer interactions, escalations, and recovery efforts reflect Gerber's brand values and strengthen customer trust.
  • Source and manage creator and influencer partnerships, including identifying new opportunities, managing agreements and deliverables, tracking performance, reporting on campaign ROI, or overseeing agency partners as needed.
  • Strengthen brand reputation and trust by executing product review and sampling initiatives, in partnership with cross-functional teams, to drive authentic feedback, ratings, and advocacy.

Brand Experience Programs

  • Operate Gerber's branded merchandise program and online brand store, curating product offerings and optimizing the user experience to strengthen brand engagement among employees, customers, partners, and other stakeholders.

Corporate Communications & Employee Engagement

  • Support the creation, maintenance, and execution of corporate communications plans, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure preparedness, alignment, and efficient execution.
  • Support internal communications and employee engagement initiatives, including company announcements, employee events, and product knowledge-building efforts that foster Gerber pride, alignment, and recognition.

Brand Team Operations

  • Administer invoice and purchase order processes for brand and omnichannel programs, maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely payment of vendors and service providers.
  • Flexibility to perform all other duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, English, Writing, or a related field strongly preferred.
  • Three to five years of hands-on marketing, brand, content, social media, or communications experience required.
  • Experience creating and adapting content in accordance with brand messaging, style, and editorial guidelines for diverse audiences and channels.
  • Hands-on experience managing social media publishing, content scheduling, community engagement, and on-brand responses to comments, messages, reviews, or customer concerns.
  • Ability to measure and report on campaign performance, engagement metrics, and return on investment, and translate results into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with advanced knowledge of grammar, punctuation, spelling, and style and the ability to adapt content for different audiences and communication channels.
  • Experience drafting customer-facing and/or corporate communications, including sensitive or escalated responses that require empathy, clarity, accuracy, and sound judgment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; ability to use Excel for tracking, reporting, and basic analysis.
  • Experience managing multiple projects, stakeholders, deadlines, and approval processes simultaneously using strong organizational and project-management practices.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with high standards for accuracy, consistency, quality, and performance.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise initiative, and collaborate effectively with colleagues across functions, cultures, work styles, and levels of the organization.
