What You’ll Do
The Project Engineer supports manufacturing operations by planning, coordinating, and executing engineering projects that improve safety, quality, cost, and delivery. This role works cross-functionally with production, quality, supply chain, and external vendors to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with operational goals.
Responsibilities (Including other duties as assigned)
- Lead and manage manufacturing engineering projects from concept through implementation
- Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies
- Support process improvements, equipment installations, line expansions, and facility upgrades
- Coordinate with production teams to minimize downtime and ensure smooth project execution
- Create andmaintainengineering documentation, specifications, and standard work
- Support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, cost reduction, efficiency gains)
- Collaborate with Quality and Operations to ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards
- Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and equipment suppliers
- Track project progress and communicate status, risks, and results to stakeholders
What You Will Need
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical, or related field)
- 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience managing engineering or capital projects
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, andtooling
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems
- Experience with automation, assembly processes, or equipment validation
- Project management certification (PMP) a plus
