As a Health, Safety and Environmental Engineer M/F/D you will report to the Health & Safety Team Learder in the Manufacturing based in Telford for a Permanent contract.

Reporting to the H&S Manager, you’ll take a proactive, hands-on approach to improving safety, working conditions, and environmental performance. You’ll work closely with shop-floor teams and lead the implementation of practical action plans.

What you will do?

Ensure compliance and validate safety documentation for work equipment
Investigate workplace incidents and occupational health issues
Design and deliver engaging H&S training
Carry out risk assessments and specific hazard analyses eg COSHH
Conduct H&S audits and site inspections
Assist in the accreditation of ISO 45001 & ISO 14001
Perform environmental assessments and coordinate improvement plans

What about you?

IOSH qualification (or equivalent) in Health & Safety is desirable
Minimum 2 years’ experience in Manufacturing Health & Safety
Strong knowledge of equipment compliance and corrective actions
Highly organised, self-motivated, with excellent communication and influencing skills
