AAA Club Alliance is now hiring a Battery Field Performance Specialist for our Eastern Territory!

This is a hybrid position that supports the Mobile Battery Program by working directly with Club Fleet and Service Provider Partners (SPP) to improve operational performance, sales effectiveness, and key performance indicators across assigned territories. 

PLEASE NOTE: The position is hybrid but candidate must reside within a commutable distance from the assigned territory. This role will require frequent travel throughout the assigned territory.

Eastern Territory includes, but is not limited to - Pennsylvania, Virginia, New Jersey, Maryland and Delaware.

The primary duties of the role are to:

  • Lead analysis of mobile battery performance across assigned markets, including battery unit sales, test-to-sale conversion, revenue performance, member experience, service consistency, inventory alignment, warranty trends, and provider execution indicators.

  • Lead evaluation of Fleet and SPP market conditions to identify systemic operational, sales, compliance, process, equipment, inventory, capability, or provider-performance barriers affecting battery program results.

  • Determine which markets, providers, and performance issues warrant prioritization, review, and escalation based on business impact, revenue opportunity, member impact, risk, and leadership priorities.

  • Lead development of market-level performance improvement strategies, including prioritization of target markets or providers, sequencing of interventions, escalation of barriers, and proposed corrective-action approaches for leadership review and approval.

  • Advise the Manager, Mobile Battery Sales and Service, Fleet leaders, Territory Managers, Market Managers, and SPP leadership on performance trends, business risks, market opportunities, and recommended actions needed to improve battery sales and service outcomes.

  • Interpret mobile battery program standards, sales expectations, service requirements, inventory practices, warranty procedures, and provider operating expectations to determine when market practices create business, compliance, revenue, or member-experience risk.

  • Conduct targeted field visits, provider assessments, operational reviews, and ride-along observations to validate performance trends, assess systemic barriers, evaluate effectiveness of prior interventions, and prepare leadership-level recommendations.

  • Lead development and recommendations of field operating routines, reporting cadence, scorecards, provider review templates, and performance dashboards used to evaluate battery program effectiveness and monitor improvement progress.

  • Partner with the Manager and cross-functional stakeholders to support annual and ongoing battery sales plans, market expansion planning, provider engagement strategies, and initiatives intended to increase battery revenue, profitability, penetration, and member satisfaction.

  • Assess capability gaps and recommend training strategy, training priorities, and leadership-directed development support based on measurable performance needs. Partner with leaders and training resources to align development support with business performance gaps.

  • Assess inventory availability, supply practices, service readiness, equipment utilization, and operational workflows to recommend improvements that support battery sales growth, service quality, service readiness, and cost effectiveness.

  • Prepare written analyses, market summaries, provider-readiness assessments, and leadership recommendations documenting trends, risks, opportunities, conclusions, and proposed next steps.

  • Monitor approved improvement plans and advise leadership when additional escalation, resource alignment, provider engagement, process modification, or operational intervention is needed.

  • Support rollout and evaluation of new battery tools, technology, processes, pilots, revenue opportunities, or program changes by assessing business impact and recommending continuation, modification, expansion, or discontinuation based on results.

  • Collaborate with Automotive Operations, Dispatch Operations, Roadside Assistance Call Center Operations, Club Assist, Car Care, Distribution Administration, Finance, Procurement, Marketing, Training, and other partners as needed to resolve barriers affecting battery program performance.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned, provided such duties remain consistent with the position’s primary responsibility for market-level business analysis, advisory decision-making, and battery program performance improvement.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, automotive management, sales management, analytics, or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience may be considered.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive service, roadside assistance, fleet operations, provider network management, sales performance management, market operations, vendor / partner oversight, or related business operations role preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience analyzing operational or sales performance data, identifying systemic business issues, developing recommendations, and influencing leaders or partners across multiple markets or teams.

  • Experience supporting revenue growth, service consistency, provider performance, process improvement, training strategy, compliance improvement, or operating-standard implementation preferred.

  • Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record required.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong business analysis, market performance assessment, operational diagnosis, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment on matters affecting battery revenue, service delivery, provider performance, program effectiveness, compliance risk, and member experience.

  • Ability to interpret performance data, identify trends, distinguish systemic barriers from isolated execution gaps, and develop practical recommendations.

  • Strong leadership-through-influence capability with the ability to advise, challenge, and support Fleet, SPP, and cross-functional leaders without relying on direct reporting authority.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to prepare leadership-ready summaries, recommendations, and market performance updates.

  • Strong organizational, project management, prioritization, and follow-through capabilities.

  • Ability to translate strategic priorities into market-level operating plans, provider engagement routines, performance measures, and leadership recommendations.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and ability to use data, reporting, and collaboration tools to support business analysis and communication.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing operational conditions while maintaining focus on business outcomes, member experience, and program standards.
