Phlebotomist

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a phlebotomist to join our growing team in our Woodstock office!

Monday-Friday, 8AM - 5PM, no nights or weekends

Duties may include but not limited to:

• Preparing patients before drawing blood.
• Explaining blood draw procedures to patients and answering any questions about the process.
• Draw blood from patients.
• Gathering medical testing materials, including needles, sample vials, blood storage bags and test tubes.
• Verifying patient information and labeling blood samples properly.
• Perform EKG's.
• Place cardiac monitors on patients.
• Accurately updating patient information in the organization's database.

Requirements:

• Dependable team player is a must.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Data entry and computer skills.
• Maintain a positive attitude with patients and co-workers under all conditions.
• Sustain excellent attendance and avoid excessive absences and/or tardiness.
• If not already a nationally certified phlebotomist, must gain certification within six months of employment.
