Major Responsibilities
- Manage Nursing Staff Schedules ā Create and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly staffing schedules for nurses and CNAs.
- Ensure Adequate Coverage ā Work closely with the Director of Nursing to secure coverage for vacant shifts, open positions, vacations, and leave requests.
- Daily Staffing Reports ā Complete daily staffing sheets and track nursing hours to meet PPD (Per Patient Day) requirements while maintaining compliance logs.
- Monitor and Verify Employee Attendance ā Review and correct time clock punches, verify hours worked, and identify staffing trends.
- Collaborate with Admissions Team ā Stay updated on census changes, new admissions, and discharges to adjust staffing accordingly.
- Data & Compliance Reporting ā Prepare and submit daily nursing hours reports to the Executive Director/LNHA.
- Enhance Operational Efficiency ā Implement new staffing strategies and processes to improve patient care and employee satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred.
- 1+ year of experience in healthcare staffing coordination preferred.
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting (long-term care or medical facility preferred).
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A dedicated, compassionate mindset that prioritizes quality resident care.
