We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Certified Personal Trainer or Exercise Physiologist to champion the health and well-being of our thriving community. This part-time role is ideal for professionals who value connection, purpose, and collaboration in a wellness-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement individualized fitness programs based on comprehensive assessments and resident goals
  • Deliver engaging, results-driven one-on-one personal training sessions and group exercise classes tailored to older adults
  • Provide clear instruction on exercise technique, safety, and functional movement
  • Motivate and inspire residents while thoughtfully modifying exercises to ensure safety, inclusivity, and effectiveness
  • Cultivate connection, consistency, and community within the wellness program
  • Lead small group fitness classes and occasional educational wellness presentations
  • Maintain accurate documentation and scheduling in accordance with departmental standards
  • Represent and uphold the mission, vision, and values of Friends Village

Qualifications

  • Current Personal Training Certification from a nationally accredited organization (NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, AFAA, etc.)
  • CPR/AED Certification (current)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field preferred
  • Experience working with older adults strongly preferred
  • Additional certifications (e.g., Group Fitness, Corrective Exercise, Nutrition Coaching) a plus
  • Flexible availability
  • Willingness to complete a 15-minute live or virtual training and group exercise demonstration as part of the interview process
