The Buehler’s Tipped Server is the face of Buehler’s as they interact directly with our customers. The Tipped Server’s sole responsibility is to ensure that our loyal customers have an exceptional dining experience each and every time they choose to dine with us. To deliver this exceptional service, the Tipped Server works closely with the Food Service teams to ensure that each meal is delivered to the customer in a timely manner. One of our company strategies is to become the Best in Food Service and that starts with one meal at a time.Â
- Seating our customers as they enter the restaurant in a timely manner
- Greet warmly each customer and take their drink order in a timely mannerÂ
- Assist customers in their order selection as well as anticipate additional items they may want (ex. drink, salad, sandwich, dessert, etc.)
- Total customers bill correctly
- Work closely with BOH Line Cooks to ensure the customer’s order is 100% correct and served in a timely manner
- Ensure the tables are cleaned promptly after customers leave and assist as needed
- Responsible for pre-bussing and bussing tables
- Assist with mentoring and training new employees
- Ensure the dining room is spotless – table, floors, walls – everything
- Follow procedures for keeping yourself, our customers, and coworkers safe
- Uphold Buehler’s policies regarding a workplace free of harassment, bullying and discrimination
- Set-up and closing dining room routines
- In some locations, assist with Community Room duties, as assigned
- As part of the Food Service team, there may be times when your assistance is needed in BOH or our Catering Department. These responsibilities may include:
- Assist BOH as needed with food prep including operating the grill, fryers and related equipment
- Set-up, organize, prepare food using established production procedures and systems if needed
- Comply with sanitation, health and personal hygiene standards, and housekeeping to keep the work area clean
- Observe proper food handling techniques
- Store food properly and safely, mark the date and item
- Work at our catered events as set up, server, bartender, tear down or any other role needed
- Other duties as directed or assigned to support total store operations
- Must be available to be scheduled 35+hrs a week, including weekends, based on department needs.
- Able to meet the requirements to occasionally stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50# and occasionally 80#Â
- Manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures; and can do simple math problems
- Able to work within our deli/kitchen environment that includes equipment such as an oven, stove, dishwasher, slicer, coffee machine, steamer, mixer and chef’s knives…so frequently you will be exposed to heat, steam, fire and noise
