JOB SUMMARY

Assemblers play a crucial role in building and assembling products, ensuring quality standards are met. Assemblers collaborate closely with team members to meet production goals and uphold the company’s reputation for exceptional product quality. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

  1. Perform various stages of the assembly process to build high-quality products according to specifications and production schedules.
  2. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to assemble components and subassemblies.
  3. Conduct visual and functional inspections to ensure products meet quality standards before moving to the next production phase.
  4. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area to promote a safe and efficient manufacturing environment.
  5. Assist with material handling tasks, including receiving, moving, and staging parts and finished goods as needed.
  6. Participate in regular physical inventory counts and report discrepancies to supervisors.
  7. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets and resolve issues that impact workflow.
  8. Perform repetitive physical tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, and standing for extended periods while maintaining attention to detail.
  9. Report equipment malfunctions or quality issues promptly and support continuous improvement initiatives within the production area.

  1. Knowledge of safe and effective use of power tools and hand tools, including screw guns and related assembly equipment.
  2. Skill in accurately reading and interpreting measurements using tape measures and other basic measuring instruments.

  4. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment to meet production goals and maintain quality standards.
  5. Ability to perform tasks in various work areas and adapt to changing priorities within the manufacturing environment.
  6. Skill in maintaining strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in assembly work.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities. 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

  • The work environment requires standing for the entire shift and performing repetitive movements throughout the day. 
  • The role involves physical demands such as lifting, pulling, pushing, and moving materials weighing up to 50 pounds, as well as frequent bending and other ergonomic activities. 
  • Assemblers must be able to maintain productivity while managing these physical tasks safely and efficiently.

 

PLANNED BUSINESS TRAVEL 

  • This job requires no planned business travel.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required. Associate or bachelor’s degree, preferred. 
  • Combining experience in manufacturing, warehouse, and assembly practices of 6 months or more with education is desirable.
  • Previous experience with manufacturing, warehouse, and assembly is desired.
