The Assistant Project Manager/Estimator is responsible for a wide range of functions necessary to successfully assess, estimate, and secure restoration and remediation projects. This role ensures an accurate scope of work is developed for property damage resulting from water, fire, mold, storm, or other related incidents. The Restoration Sales Estimator is accountable for delivering consistent, detailed, and comprehensive estimates while maintaining a high level of service in all interactions with property owners, insurance representatives, clients, and vendors throughout the restoration process.Â

Primary ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Educate customers on the restoration and mitigation process, including timelines, expectations, and next stepsÂ
- Assess property damage and work with customers to understand immediate needs, safety concerns, and potential upgradesÂ
- Ensure all estimates and scopes align with client requirements and insurance carrier guidelinesÂ
- Create accurate sketches and develop an initial scope of work for mitigation and restoration servicesÂ
- Deliver consistent, detailed, and well-documented estimates using industry-standard tools (e.g., Xactimate / Cotality™)Â
- Collaborating with Project Managers and field teams to validate scope, pricing, and production approachÂ
- Assemble clear, accurate, and well-organized estimates for internal review and client submissionÂ
- Communicate estimate details, project scope, and updates effectively with customers, insurance partners, and internal teamsÂ

Education and Experience RequirementsÂ
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Business, or related field preferredÂ
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in restoration estimating, water/fire mitigation, and/or insurance adjustingÂ
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage customers during stressful loss situationsÂ
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with customers, adjusters, and internal teamsÂ
- Proficiency in Xactimate™ estimating software and familiarity with insurance carrier guidelines and TPA programsÂ
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in evaluating property damage and determining scope of workÂ
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, emergency service environment with shifting prioritiesÂ
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skillsÂ
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with production crews and office staffÂ
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel locally to job sites as neededÂ

Normal Working Hours, Additional Working Hours, and Travel RequirementsÂ
This is a full-time position with standard working hours typically between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Due to the nature of the restoration industry, flexibility is required, including extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.Â
This position participates in an on-call rotation and must be available to respond to emergency service calls outside of normal business hours. Rapid response to water, fire, and other property damage events is a critical component of this role.Â
Travel is primarily local within the service area; however, occasional out-of-town and overnight travel may be required to support large-loss projects or catastrophe response efforts.
