Responsibilities
Meal Preparation & Service
- Prepare three well-balanced meals and three daily snacks for residents.
- Follow dietary guidelines and ensure meals meet nutritional standards.
- Assist with menu planning in compliance with the Bureau of Nutrition.
Kitchen Operations & Safety
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and dining area.
- Ensure proper food storage, labeling, and handling procedures.
- Monitor kitchen safety, including the secure use of knives and equipment.
- Train staff on safe food handling and kitchen procedures as needed.
Inventory & Support Duties
- Order and maintain inventory of food, linens, cleaning supplies, and personal health items.
- Assist the Chef Manager with daily documentation and record-keeping.
- Support general household operations as needed to ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
What You Bring
- Experience preparing nutritious meals in a residential or institutional setting
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper storage practices
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage daily kitchen responsibilities
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- ServSafe Certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in food preparation, storage, and service
