Position Overview:

Adhering to NDHC鈥檚 mission and values, the Resident Care Director directs the delivery of all resident care while maintaining compliance with state, federal guidelines. Responsibilities include the following: supervision and development of department employees, care management, serve as member of organizations management team, development of strategic planning and quality assurance initiatives. This role directly supervises, motivates and encourages all resident care staff. An unwavering focus on customer service and resident and family relations are critical. The Director will lead by example with unwavering customer service demonstrated by healthy and thriving resident and family relationships.聽

Work Hours and Schedule Expectations:

1. Typical workday hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00PM.?聽

2. ?Employee within this position not expected to work paid holidays.聽

3. Position is ultimately responsible for the Resident Care Department 24 hours a day. ?聽



Requirements

路 Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (RN), BS preferred聽

路 Current/Nursing license in the state of Massachusetts聽

路 A minimum of five years of clinical experience, working with memory care and assisted living residents. 聽

路 Ability to work well with other professionals and communicate effectively.聽

路 Proven leadership skills from past employment professional organizations.聽

路 Knowledge/ Understanding of EOEA regulations required.聽

路 Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice needed to give and evaluate resident care.聽

路 Knowledge of organizational policies, regulations, and procedures to administer resident care.聽

路 Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer resident care.聽

路 Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.聽

路 Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods, and techniques of professional nursing to provide on-going resident care.聽

路 Skill in preparing and maintaining resident records, writing reports, and responding to correspondence.聽

路 Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance聽

路 Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with residents, medical staff, and the public.聽

路 Ability to maintain quality control standards聽

路 Knowledge of budget process聽

路 Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations聽

路 Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures聽

路 Ability to communicate clearly (both verbally and in writing) in English聽
