Role OverviewÂ
This is a role that’s ideal for someone that is eager to roll up their sleeves, be hands on and move fast. As Engineering Technician, you’ll be a key to the successful delivery of our product to customers. This will include fabricating and testing hardware, and managing procurement, inventory and shipping. Â
What You’ll OwnÂ
Engineering Design and AnalysisÂ
- Work with engineering to design mechanical parts and systems from concept through fabrication-ready modelsÂ
- Work with engineering evelop and maintain engineering drawings, tolerances, and BOMs to support fabrication and procurementÂ
- Work with engineering to iterate designs based on prototype feedback, test results, and field observationsÂ
Mechanical Assembly & FabricationÂ
- Assemble mechanical and electromechanical products using hand tools and fixturesÂ
- Fabricate components and hardware as neededÂ
- Support basic electrical assembly tasks including wiring, connector termination, and solderingÂ
- Perform product inspections, fit checks, and functional testsÂ
- Conduct mechanical and fatigue testing on prototypes and production unitsÂ
- Record measurements, test outcomes, and anomalies during evaluationsÂ
Inventory, Purchasing, & DocumentationÂ
- Handle ordering, receiving, labeling, and stocking of hardwareÂ
- Update inventory, usage logs, receiving spreadsheets, and build recordsÂ
- Document assembly procedures, mechanical processes, and test workflowsÂ
- Help maintain up-to-date build instructions, SOPs, and technical notesÂ
Shipping & Customer SupportÂ
- Package and ship completed mechanical assemblies to customersÂ
- Update shipping logs, tracking info, and outgoing inventory recordsÂ
- Communicate with customers regarding shipments or returnsÂ
Scrap-Metal Sorting & AnalysisÂ
- Sort scrap-metal samples for testingÂ
- Operate material-analysis instruments to characterize metal compositionÂ
- Record measurements, manage sample IDs, and help maintain datasetsÂ
- Assist in preparing data for analysis, charts, and internal reportsÂ
What We’re Looking ForÂ
- High School Diploma/GEDÂ
- Expereicene working in mechanical, manufacturing, electrical, or robotics related fieldsÂ
- 1–5 years of experience in technical, mechanical, or hands-on engineering workÂ
- Ability to commute to our facility in Worcester, MA on a regular basisÂ
- Comfortable performing manual tasks, including lifting up to 50 poundsÂ
- Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, tools, fixtures, or fabricationÂ
- Self-sufficient, organized, and able to manage competing priorities without close supervisionÂ
Preferred SkillsÂ
- Experience with basic electrical work: low-voltage wiring, soldering and PCB-level assemblyÂ
- Experience with packaging, shipping, or inventory managementÂ
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take initiative to solve problems and complete tasksÂ
- Interest in materials, recycling, or sustainable technology (bonus)Â
