All tips earned will be included on your paycheck. SUMMARY: The cashier will ensure a positive conclusion of each guests experience at the restaurant outlets of the Coeur dAlene Casino Resort Hotel. This position will process payments and inquire about guests dining experiences. RESPONSIBILITIES: Greet customers in a friendly manner. Obtain a bank from the money room at the start of each shift. Receive funds from customers and employees, disburse funds, and record monetary transactions. Prepare paperwork in accordance with departmental cashier policy. Counting back change to the guest. Compare totals on cash register with amount of currency in register to verify balances. Assist customers by providing requested information or directions. Keep cashier stand clean and organized. Help dish up the guest orders or move the hot items from the window to the hot well. Wipe down highchairs, booster chairs and show guests where to get them. Bus, clean/wipe, sweep and set tables as needed. Keep out front and cashier area stocked up. Other projects and duties as assigned. QualificationsEducation/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to obtain a Coeur dAlene tribal gaming license preferred. Six months previous cashiering and customer service experience preferred. Must be 18 years of age or older. Skills/Knowledge: Strong cash handling skills preferred. Must work well in a team environment & small confined spaces. Excellent internal and external customer service skills required. Strong verbal communication skills required. Must have strong multitasking and organizational skills. Must be able to follow detailed instructions precisely.
