MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the optimal functionality and appearance of our facilities. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities for a Maintenance Technician:

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, equipment, and grounds.
• Troubleshoot and complete minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical repairs.
• Respond promptly to maintenance service requests across all HCS locations.
• Conduct general cosmetic maintenance such as painting, spackling, and replacing ceiling tiles.
• Support seasonal snow removal, including shoveling, plowing, salting, and clearing walkways.
• Participate in safety checks, fire drills, and regulatory inspections.
• Coordinate and monitor work performed by external contractors and vendors.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in building maintenance.
• High school diploma or trade school graduate.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and perform physical tasks.
• Valid New Jersey driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Basic computer and email proficiency preferred.
