Position Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Inclusion Activities Coordinator to plan and lead engaging recreational and community-based activities for individuals with developmental disabilities. This role is ideal for someone who is creative, organized, and passionate about making a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead inclusive recreational activities and community outings
  • Adapt activities to meet individual needs, abilities, and goals
  • Ensure a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for all participants
  • Coordinate logistics including transportation, scheduling, and accessibility
  • Collaborate with staff and leadership to support participant engagement
  • Communicate effectively with participants, staff, and families
  • Support individuals during outings, including assistance with meals and personal care as needed
  • Gather feedback to improve future programming

Qualifications

  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to plan and coordinate events or activities
  • Flexible, dependable, and team-oriented

Requirements

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record (ability to drive agency vehicles)
  • Ability to assist with lifting and physical support of participants (up to 35 lbs; 2-person assist as needed)
  • Ability to pass background checks in accordance with NJ Department of Human Services
  • Compliance with Central Registry and Child Abuse Registry requirements
  • Pre-employment and random drug screening
