The Material Handler- Finish will also help keep work areas neat and organized and lanes clear by taking out garbage and cardboard.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS All employees are required to support Rosenbauer’s Mission, Vision, and Values.  The following are the essential duties of this position and do not include marginal functions that are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties. The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer.  Keeps gasket, fireproof cabinet, spare material carts, and Stock areas cleaned and stocked up with necessary parts. Sign in warehouse parts carts for trucks and return carts back to warehouse. Delivers fabricated parts cart to isle of coordinating truck, and transfers parts to red fab cart once parts are verified to be correct and made to print. Delivers painted parts and parts requests to coordinating trucks. Takes out cardboard, pallets or wood, weighs and unloads sheer bin, and dumps garbage cans. Assist with taping off and covering bumpers/running boards, putting plastic covering on all T/P compartments, putting foam triangles in air horns, and other special projects as needed. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our members.   Tools to be utilized: Hand tools, power tools, grinders, cut off wheels, and tape measure. QualificationsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA’s): The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. K Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience: High school diploma/GED. Previous experience operating a forklift preferred. 2+ years of previous experience in a materials department required. S Skills: Language: Able to read and work from blueprints/spec books. Able to read and understand a tape measure accurately. Able to follow written and verbal directions. Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Math: Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Computer: Able to perform simple computer tasks to obtain information/changes related to the build process and/or troubleshoot. A Abilities: Able to communicate progress of projects to the appropriate supervisor. Able to identify quality issues, recognize changes within the production process, and adjust as needed. Able to prioritize work and to multitask while adhering to deadlines. Able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment. Able to understand and follow all safety policies to promote a safe working environment for all.   OTHER QUALIFICATIONS CHECK IF APPLIES Give Examples as Necessary Driving- license x May be required to operate company vehicles to move parts needed from building to building for production purposes. Driving- Own Vehicle     Hours of work- Ability to work evenings and/or weekends occasionally x Overtime as needed to meet the needs of the department.
