Job Overview
The Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) Operator will be responsible for safely operating tuggers, forklifts, street sweepers and scrubber sweepers.
Roles & Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintain current forklift training and certification as required by company policies.
Move levers or controls of lifting devices to load, unload or stack material.
Obtain copy of production schedule or shipping order and transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility
Move goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility by positioning forks, or lifting platform devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials or hooks tow trucks to trailer hitch
Load and unload goods from vehicles such as trucks and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device
Stack goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions
Inventory materials on work floor, and supply workers with materials as needed
Weigh materials or products and record weight on tags, labels, or production schedules
Check loads are secure and maintain a clean and safe environment
Perform daily equipment checks
Remove machine attachments and waste material from machines if applicable
Qualification

Education and/ or Experience
High school diploma / GED
Six months related experience and/or training
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Required to have a valid Driver’s license and clean driving record
Required to be forklift certified, and complete all safety and task training certifications
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
