As the worlds largest manufacturer of fire equipment, we make sure our vehicles, production teams, and service personnel are ready to do what is necessary to keep communities safe.   POSITION SUMMARY The Paint Cut Welder will perform detailed layouts based on drawing specifications. They will drill out holes in the body of the apparatus to make way for a variety of different equipment to be installed. Also, they will weld brackets and other metal pieces onto the cab to hold items to be installed.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS All employees are required to support Rosenbauers Mission, Vision, and Values. The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer. Performs detailed layouts based on drawing specifications. Drills out holes in the body of the apparatus to make way for a variety of different equipment to be installed. Welds brackets and other metal pieces onto the cab to hold items to be installed. Performs an inspection of the cab before any work is done to the cab to make sure that it is correct. Drill and weld according to the blueprint and specifications book. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our members. QualificationsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA’s): The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. K Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience: High school diploma/GED required. Previous welding experience required. Previous MIG and TIG welding experience preferred. Welding certificate preferred. Strong mechanical and technical ability required. S Skills: Language: Able to read and work from blueprints/spec books. Able to read and understand a tape measure accurately. Able to follow written and verbal directions. Math: Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Computer: Able to perform simple computer tasks to obtain information/changes related to the build process and/or troubleshoot. A Abilities: Able to identify quality issues, recognize changes within the production process, and adjust as needed. Able to prioritize work and to multitask while adhering to deadlines. Able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment. Able to understand and follow all safety policies to promote a safe working environment for all.   OTHER QUALIFICATIONS CHECK IF APPLIES Give Examples as Necessary Driving- license x May be required to operate company vehicles to move parts needed from building to building for production purposes. Driving- Own Vehicle x May be required to drive between buildings. Hours of work- Ability to work evenings and/or weekends occasionally x Overtime as needed to meet the needs of the department.
