The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer.    Ensures that the fire apparatus chassis is built and functioning correctly. Builds bumper of the fire truck to meet specifications. Ensures that all the wires and hard build components are not below the minimum level for the build. Torques bolts to specific setting according to the build specifications. Adjusts the fluid levels to ensure that the fire apparatus is functioning properly. Performs adjustments to the alignment of the fire apparatus. Performs a running test of the fire apparatus to ensure that components are functioning properly. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our members. Tools to be utilized: Hand tools, power tools, and tape measure.   QualificationsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA’s): The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. K Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience: High school diploma/GED. Strong mechanical and technical ability required. 2+ years mechanical experience preferred. Manufacturing experience preferred. S Skills: Language: Able to read and work from blueprints/spec books. Able to read and understand a tape measure accurately. Able to follow written and verbal directions. Math: Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Computer: Able to perform simple computer tasks to obtain information/changes related to the build process and/or troubleshoot. A Abilities: Able to identify quality issues, recognize changes within the production process, and adjust as needed. Able to proficiently use a tape measure, hand tools, and power tools. Able to prioritize work and to multitask while adhering to deadlines. Able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
