Area Manager

Join your locally owned Great Clips® salon organization in a leadership role that blends hands-on salon management with multi-salon oversight. As an Area Manager, you’ll directly manage one salon while also supporting and coaching a team of Salon Managers across a small group of additional locations.

This role is ideal for an experienced salon or multi-unit leader who enjoys developing managers, maintaining strong brand standards, and driving consistent performance across teams.

Great Clips is seeking an experienced Area Manager to oversee multiple salon locations. You’ll lead and coach salon managers and teams, drive sales and customer service results, and ensure brand standards are met. We’re looking for a strong leader with management experience in a busy salon, great people skills, and business acumen. Competitive base pay ($22-$30), plus tips, benefits, and growth opportunities available. Full time with ability to work weekends and current cosmetology/barber license required!

To succeed as an Area Manager in a Great Clips salon organization, you’ll need:

• Previous salon management experience or multi-unit retail management experience
• A valid Cosmetology and/or Barber License (requirements vary by state/province)
• The desire and ability to manage a salon’s daily operations while motivating and supporting other Salon Managers
• Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills
• Experience identifying performance gaps and implementing improvement plans
• Flexibility to work across multiple salon locations within the surrounding area
• Commitment to collaboration and accountability with a focus on proactively seeking solutions to challenges
